1. Using your favorite browser, either Internet Explorer or Netscape, type in the URL http://ol.szabist.ac.ae

   

2. At the SZABIST Online System home page, required to select the following facilities to entertain the online students :
   • Programs details, to find out what are the program details

     

   • Selection of courses (available semesters) for registration.

     

   
   
   • Course Login – to get access to course home page.

     
     

     SZABIST Online System User ID and password will be your network login user name for using SZABIST Online System. Your initial password will be your student identification number. For example:
     
     User ID: 060401
     Password: 060401
     
     User Id(s) are generated by the system and it will be your registration number.

   
   
3. Once you have entered your User Id and password, click on the Sign In button

4. Sign In Student Home page will be displayed which will show the registered course, pending registration requests, course withdrawal option, and many more.

   

   Click on the name of course will bring you to the course homepage (see 6)

   Logging in and out of my SZABIST Online System

   Once you have successfully logged into SZABIST Online System, your user Id and password will be retained by the browser until you exist the browser.

   Firstly, this means that you MUST USE THE LOGGED OUT BUTTON or your session will remain open.

   

   Secondly, it allows you to visit link outside the SZABIST Online System program without having to login again, you can also bookmark any page in SZABIST Online System and login prompt will appear on the bookmarked page rather than at the SZABIST Online System page or the system will redirect you at step number 3.

   When you visit links outside the SZABIST Online System, be aware that the browser sometime opens a second window. If you are having problems, check the taskbar to see if there is more than one copy of the browser open. Click the taskbar icon for the window you want to view.

There are a number of support resources available for students. The following are some avenues that you may want to explore before calling our help desk.

• Check your browser settings to make sure you are using a validated browser,

There may, however be other reasons why you cannot access the SZABIST Online System. These include:

• Your internet service provider may be experiencing difficulties
• The SZABIST Online System server may be experiencing difficulties
• You may have more than one copy of your browser open
• You may be trying to access the incorrect course
• The internet may be having a particularly bad day

There are many more reasons that can cause frustration. Internet access is becoming more demanding, telephone lines are slow, server have bottlenecks. Please explore some of these avenues before contacting support. Thank you!
